When we are beginning a new blog or website we need lots of work until it starts making money. I know that, because iīve already passed that a few times.
And making the website and writing good articles takes much time and energy from us, but what really is very difficult is to achieve traffic. All of us want to have much visitors to our website and visitors that come every day to read our articles,
but that is not easy to do.
So, what can you do to make your blog to have traffic?
I have already a few websites and with the experience of launching them on the internet iīve learned a way that is efficient. It brings people to my sites and a part of them turn into daily visitors.
There are some other ways and the important is that we have a plan from the beginning. We must try what way goes better for us. I give in this article one way that works for me and I believe it works in almost every site or blog.
In the first phase we must think in something that our possible readers want and give it to them. It must be something attractive to the possible readers of the blog, not for people who will not come to the blog anymore.
So, it have to be something related to the theme of our blog. We donīt want visitors for only 1 time, we want visitors that comes to our blog every day.
Some examples of what this gift could be is:
a) a good and original post
b) competitions or prizes
c) some software or ebooks
d) an interview with someone recognized for all
e) some free items
f) free gifts or discounts
g) widgets
This are only some examples, what is important is that what you give is related to the blog so who goes to your blog to catch the gift turns into a daily visitor to your blog.
Now that you created your gift, you must pass to the second phase: promote your gift.
You must use some marketing methods to spread out the word about your blog that is offering a gift.
Some of this methods to promote your gift are:
a) social media sites
b) forums of your niche
c) send emails to bloggers of your niche
d) ads pay per click
e) buy some ads in blogs with a huge traffic and of the same niche
f) submit articles on directories and other blogs
The third and last phase is to create a community and repeat all the process.
You must interact with the readers and continue writing articles that they want to read. The articles must be about the same niche of the gift you offered before.
After a little time you can create a new gift and make the same steps as before to attract more traffic to your blog.
You must always try to increase the traffic to your blog.
A big percentage of websites and blogs have a very slow rate of growth and their owners give up of maintaining it. Donīt let yourself to start a blog and then give up. Be patient, work a little everyday and you too can be a pro blogger.

7 positions to put your adsense in places that make money

For us, who use adsense, our intention is to make money, right? However, there are some ways that make more money than others. Itīs very probable that if you put your adsense in a better position youīll make more money than in others.
I leave here 7 good positions to put adsense codes, because they convert very well in money for you.
1) One thing that not everyone does is to put on the blog a Google
search box. For example I didnīt put it on this blog. However, itīs a good chance of increase our potential earnings, because if someone makes a search while heīs in your blog and from your blog, the paid results that will appear will convert money for you. Of course this makes very little money, and thatīs the reason why I didnīt insert it here, but in some cases it increases our earnings potential.
2) Another good position to put your adsense is like I did in this blog behind the principal menu on top. First of all it gives very visibility to the users of our blog and second sometimes users think itīs more options from the menu to our blog and click there. And you know, everytime someone click on your ads youīre making money.
3) Another position, and this one is very used, is to put the adsense behind the menu and before the text, in 3 groups of 200x90, with 5 text lines, side by side. However, itīs important that this kind of position donīt spoil the design of your blog. Other thing is that you can only use 3 of this ads per page and with that you canīt use more of this on the page.
4) Another excellent position is to put a text box with only 2 or 3 lines side by side with the login box. Of course this is only for blogs or websites where there is a login box. But if your blog have it itīs a very good position, because everytime someone login, he will see those ads, and if the user feels something is interesting he will click on it.
5) Another position that works well is to put the adsense before the article, in 1 or 2 boxes of 250x250 or 300x250, because users will read it even before they start reading the article. With that, itīs very probable that they click in some ad. This kind of position is not very good statically but convert money very well.
6) Another position a little similar with the before is like I did in this blog. A 250x250 side by side with the start of the article. This position is not so effective to make money but in the other way itīs not so bad statically.
7) Another example of good positions for adsense is to put the ads in text boxes of 200x90 vertically in the right side of the blog where you have for example the categories of the articles. This kind of position will give the user the sensation that itīs other categories of the blog and thereīs a big probability of clicking there.

This question donīt have a quick answer but there are some factors that can tell you more or less whatīs the potential of your blog to generate income. There are blogs generating thousands of dollars per month and there are others that may not generate any money.

All the factors are important but for me thereīs one that is the most important: the theme of the blog. Everyone knows that there are niches that generate much more income than others. There are themes valuing 3 dollars or more per click and there are others that value only 1 cent. So, if you want to make real money itīs very important that you choose a good theme for your blog.
Another factor is the levels of traffic. No matter the theme you choose one thing is for sure: the more visits you get the more potential you have to make money. So, this factor alone doesnīt value everything but have a big importance.

Another factor is the age of the blog. If you work well, in the beginning you may have only a few visits but as the time passes youīll have more visits on your blog. More than that, if your articles are good people will like what you write and you will be recognized as a person who knows about the theme you write about. The time you invest on your blog is another important factor. If you invest only 30 minutes per day for your blog probably youīll make some money, but if you can invest 4 hours a day in it youīll have much more chances of making big money.
